Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of OneDollarDNS, operated by Null Commit, LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

OneDollarDNS is a DNS monitoring service that watches the DNS records of domains you specify and sends you alerts when changes are detected. The Service is provided on a subscription basis at $1.00 USD per domain per month, with a free trial for new accounts.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep that information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Free Trial

New accounts receive a free trial as described on the signup page. During the trial, you have full access to the Service with no charge. At the end of the trial period, your account will be billed at the standard rate for any domains you have added. If you do not wish to continue, you must cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.

4. Billing and Payment

• Pricing. The base Service is billed at $1.00 USD per domain per month. Optional add-ons (such as Frequent Monitoring and Smart Alerts) are each billed at an additional $1.00 USD per domain per month and can be enabled or disabled at any time. Pricing may change with reasonable notice.
• Payment processing. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you. Continued non-payment may result in suspension or termination of your account.
• Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you remove a domain mid-cycle, you will not receive a prorated refund for the remainder of that billing period.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active through the end of the current billing period. After that, your account and associated data will be deactivated and eventually deleted.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Monitor domains you do not own or have authorization to monitor
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without prior notice.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" without any uptime commitment. We may perform maintenance, updates, or other changes that temporarily affect availability, and we will endeavor to minimize disruptions.

8. DNS Monitoring Accuracy

DNS records are queried from public DNS resolvers. We do not guarantee that all changes will be detected immediately or that monitoring results will be error-free. DNS propagation delays, resolver caching, and network conditions may affect detection timing. The Service is a monitoring aid and should not be used as the sole mechanism for detecting or preventing DNS-related incidents.

9. Intellectual Property

The original code, design, branding, and content of the Service are owned by Null Commit, LLC. The Service is built using open source software components, each of which remains subject to its own applicable license. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of those components to us or limits your rights under their respective licenses. You retain ownership of the domain names and data you submit. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to query, store, and display your DNS data solely as necessary to provide the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Null Commit, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 1 month preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Null Commit, LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Dakota, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in North Dakota.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
